Lundi, le 22 avril

Le lundi après les vacances, c'est un jour très difficile, n'est-ce pas?

Ce soir, les étudiants de français ont besoin de copier les nouvelles expressions de vocabulaire qui se trouvent aux pages 152-153 dans le livre en français et en anglais dans le cahier.

N'oubliez pas que les étudiants ont besoin de faire un projet sur le film Cyrano de Bergerac.  C'est pour jeudi, le 25 avril.

Unit 3 Study Guide

French 3 Unit 3 Test

The French 3 Unit 3 test will be held on April 11, 2013. It will contain the following parts:

1. Listening
2. Multiple Choice
3. Writing out verbs
4. Reading

Topics covered will include:

1. Vocabulary used to talk about vacations (p. 112)
2. Vocabulary used to describe events, to tell a story or to express surprise (pp. 124-125)
3. Vocabulary used to describe the weather
4. Expressions of time (p. 131)
5. Writing out forms of the imperfect (p. 116)
6. Writing out forms of passé simple (p. 133) to replace forms of passé composé (p. 114)
7. Choosing between passé composé and imperfect (p. 118, p. 128, p. 131) and writing out either form as needed

Things to consider:

1. Vocabulary will be tested through the multiple choice and listening sections, so you will not have to memorize spelling.
2. Review verbs that take être in passé composé.
3. The best way to review passé composé versus imperfect is to review old homework activities where you needed to choose between the two tenses, especially in paragraph form (see p. 119, Ex. 13 and p. 130, Ex. 4).
4. You will not have to conjugate the passé simple but be sure to recognize the irregulars .
5. The reading section will be multiple choice.

Lundi, le 8 avril

Students will have no written homework this week.  We will be watching a film in class and students will have to complete an assignment based on the film.  It will be due after vacation.  If any students is absent this week, s/he will need to watch the film over vacation before completing the assignment.  A copy of the film is available at the North Scituate Library on DVD as well as at other libraries in RI.  It is also possible to find websites that stream this movie online by typing in "Watch Cyrano de Bergerac 1990 online" in a search engine box.  Do not forget the 1990, as another version of this movie was made.

There will be a Unit Test on Thursday of this week.  All students already have a study guide.

Salut!  J'espère que tous passe un bon week-end.  Il n'y a pas de devoirs.

Mercredi, le 3 avril

Nous avons fini "King" en classe.  On va prendre une épreuve sur "King" demain (jeudi, le 4 avril).  Il n'y a pas d'autres devoirs.

Mardi, le 2 de avril

Aujourd'hui en classe nous avons commencé la deuxième partie de "King."  Ce soir, les étudiants ont besoin de finir la conte (pp. 137-138) et faire les deux secions de questions "Avez-vous compris?" qui sont aux pages 137-138.

Lundi, le premier avril

Les devoirs pour ce soir sont:

• Lisez la première partie de la lecture, "King," qui se trouvent aux pages 135 et 136. 
• Apres, répondez aux questions "Avez-vous compris?" qui sont à la page 136 avec des phrases complètes.
